Exciting news for EV enthusiasts! Proton’s highly anticipated electric vehicle, the e.MAS 7, will be available for booking starting 26 October.
EON, one of Proton’s major dealers in Malaysia, will begin accepting bookings for the e.MAS 7 with a deposit of RM500 through its website. Proton’s first EV will officially hit the market in December 2024.

Exclusive Proton e.MAS Dealerships Revealed
According to the booking form on Proton e.MAS’s official site, only two EON dealerships have been designated as official Proton e.MAS dealerships: Glenmarie and Damansara. These locations will be the focal points for Proton’s new EV lineup.

For those eager to see the vehicle in person, EON’s Glenmarie dealership will offer a limited-time preview of the e.MAS 7 on 27 October. Based on previous previews as part of the Proton e.MAS 7 Tour, these showings are brief, typically lasting around an hour. During this time, you’ll be able to get a close-up look at the pre-production unit and even check out the interior.
What We Know So Far About the Proton e.MAS 7

While Proton has kept many details under wraps, the e.MAS 7 is co-developed with Geely, which gives us a hint of what’s under the hood. It shares many similarities with Geely’s Galaxy E5, which boasts a front-mounted electric motor delivering 218PS and 320Nm of torque. This setup allows the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds—an impressive figure for an electric car.
As for battery options, Geely’s Galaxy E5 comes with two variants: a 49.52kWh battery with a range of up to 440km and a 60.22kWh battery offering up to 530km. It’s not confirmed whether Proton’s e.MAS 7 will feature the same battery capacities, but we expect it to be similarly equipped for long-distance travel.
Cutting-Edge Features Expected

The Galaxy E5 sets a high standard with advanced features, such as a 10.2-inch driver’s display, a heads-up display, and a massive 15.4-inch infotainment screen. With up to 16 speakers and other premium features, we can only hope that Proton’s version will match or exceed these specs.
All will be revealed soon enough, as the e.MAS 7 is set for its official debut this December. In the meantime, why not lock in your reservation for RM500 and join the EV revolution?
