- Perodua Axia: With 42,900 units sold, the Axia continues to win over buyers. Recently honored with the Malaysia Good Design Award, the Axia was launched in 2023. Built on the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform, it features a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine and Dual-Mode CVT. Prices range from RM 40,000 to RM 49,500. - Perodua Myvi: Selling 34,688 units, the Myvi remains a top choice for Malaysians. Last refreshed in 2022, it is available in five variants: 1.3 G, 1.3 G with PSDA, 1.5 X, 1.5 H, and 1.5 AV, with prices between RM 45,700 and RM 58,800. - Proton Saga: Proton sold 34,035 units of the Saga in the first half of the year, making it Malaysia’s fourth most popular model. Celebrating two million units sold in May, the Saga, last updated in 2022, continues to be powered by a 1.3-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 95 PS and 120 Nm of torque. The Saga’s legacy as one of the best-selling cars continues to grow.
- Perodua Alza: Despite a recent recall, the Alza sold 20,476 units from January to June 2024. This seven-seater features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 106 PS and 138 Nm of torque, with prices ranging from RM 62,500 to RM 75,500. Its family-friendly design keeps it among Malaysia’s best-selling cars.
- Perodua Ativa: The Ativa, introduced in 2021, recorded 17,741 units sold. This SUV is available in four variants: X, H, AV, and Turbo CVT, priced between RM 61,500 and RM 72,000.
- Honda City: Breaking into the top ranks, the City sold 12,815 units. Recently added to the Royal Malaysian Police fleet, the City hatchback facelift comes in five variants: S, E, V, RS, and eRS hybrid.
- Toyota Vios: With 12,513 units sold, the Vios remains a strong contender. It offers two versions: the E model at RM 89,600 and the G model at RM 95,500, both powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine generating 106 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque.
