Planning to attend the National Day Parade in Putrajaya on 31 August 2024?
To make your experience hassle-free, a series of complimentary transport services have been arranged on the National Day to facilitate movement and ease congestion during the celebrations.
Free Water Taxi Services
To enhance convenience, the government will offer complimentary water taxi services at five designated jetties around Putrajaya. According to Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil, this initiative aims to provide easy access from parking areas to Dataran Putrajaya, the main venue for the parade.
The water taxi service for National Day Parade will be available from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM on 31 August, operating from the following jetties:
- Marina Putrajaya
- Anjung Floria
- Putrajaya Lake Club Jetty
- Monumen Jetty
- Ayer@8
The detailed routes and schedules are as follows:
Route 1: From Ayer@8, Precinct 8 to Monumen Jetty, Precinct 2 – Frequency: Every 10 minutes.
Route 2: From Putrajaya Lake Club Jetty, Precinct 8 to Monumen Jetty, Precinct 2 – Frequency: Every 15 minutes.
Route 3: From Marina Jetty, Precinct 5 to Anjung Floria Jetty, Precinct 4 – Frequency: Every 20 minutes.
24-Hour Train and Bus Services
RapidKL will also offer 24-hour train and bus services, including 60 free shuttle buses running from Putrajaya Sentral MRT station to Dataran Putrajaya starting at 6:00 PM on 30 August until 3:00 PM on 31 August.
Buses will also be made available from the Putrajaya Sentral MRT station to various attractions around Putrajaya for the entire day on 31 August.
Parking Facilities
To accommodate visitors, over 7,600 parking spaces will be available at:
- Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC)
- Botanical Garden and Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Promenade Roundabout
- Putrajaya Sentral
