AirAsia Resumes Operations at Subang Airport


After a 23-year hiatus, AirAsia is set to resume jet operations at Subang Airport, launching flights to two key domestic destinations: Kuching, Sarawak, and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The airline will maintain its primary hub at Terminal 2 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang, offering travelers enhanced connectivity and convenience due to its proximity to the city. AirAsia will operate 14 weekly flights to both Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
Additionally, a special promotion is currently available, with all-inclusive one-way fares starting at RM88 to Kuching and RM99 to Kota Kinabalu. These promotional fares include a complimentary 15kg checked-in baggage allowance, as well as airport taxes, MAVCOM fees, fuel surcharges, and other applicable charges.
Bookings can be made via the AirAsia MOVE app or the AirAsia website until Sunday, 28 July.
The travel period for these promotional fares is from 30 August 2024 to 8 October 2025.
Firefly Airlines Introduces New Routes


Firefly Airlines will offer daily return flights to Penang and Kota Kinabalu. The all-inclusive one-way fares to Penang and Kota Kinabalu are RM129 and RM249, respectively.
This will include a 10kg checked baggage allowance and complimentary onboard refreshments.

Batik Air Reopens Subang Airport-Penang Route

Batik Air is set to reopen its route between Subang Airport and Penang International Airport.
Starting with three weekly flights on 1 August, the airline will expand to daily service from 15 August onwards.
In May, Batik Air introduced revised fares for both domestic and ASEAN destinations. For those traveling light, the airline offers a ‘zero check-in baggage’ option at a lower price.
Scoot Launches Subang-Singapore Flights

The budget-friendly subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, Scoot, will launch a new flight route connecting Singapore with Subang Airport on 1 September.
This airline will offer seven weekly flights from Subang Airport to Changi Airport. One-way economy class fares from Subang start at RM108, including a complimentary 10kg checked-in baggage allowance.
