- No-Volley Zone: Known as the “kitchen,” this 2m area on both sides of the net prohibits volleys. The ball cannot land in the no-volley zone on serves, and players cannot volley the ball while standing in this zone.
- Scoring: Matches are usually played to 11, 15, or 21 points, with the winner needing a lead of at least two points.
